Water Parks in Istanbul: 12 Spots Worth Your Time

Locals who stay in Istanbul over the summer have their own way of making it feel like a holiday. They find water. Between the slides, the loungers, and the rooftop pools with a Bosphorus view, the city has more options than its traffic and crowds might suggest. The best water parks in Istanbul, and the pools worth the trip, run from a wave pool in Tuzla to a rooftop infinity pool above Kalamış Marina, split fairly between the European and Asian sides.

1. Marina Aquapark—Tuzla: Largest of the Water Parks in Istanbul

Wave pool and slides at Marina Aquapark in Tuzla, one of the largest water parks in Istanbul

Istanbul’s largest water park sits on the Asian side, in Tuzla. Its anchor is a wave pool big enough to fill a whole day. Slides, aerobics on the water, a splash zone for kids, and a food court round out the rest of it, so nobody in the group runs out of things to do by lunchtime.

As of the 2026 season, adult tickets run ₺1,699 (approx. $49), student tickets ₺1,649 (approx. $47), and tickets for ages 3 to 12 ₺1,589 (approx. $45). Children under 3 get in free. Tickets can also be bought online in advance.

2. Club Aydınoğlu—Maltepe

Outdoor swimming pool at Club Aydınoğlu in Maltepe, Istanbul

Club Aydınoğlu isn’t really a water park. Think members’ club with excellent water. On the Asian side in Maltepe, it pairs a 35-meter outdoor pool with an indoor one that stays open through the colder months, plus a fitness center and spa, which suits visitors who’d rather swim laps than queue for a slide.

3. Coliseum Pool / Aquapark—Sarıyer

Outdoor pool complex at Coliseum Sports Club in Sarıyer, Istanbul

Finding a pool that’s both large and genuinely clean is harder than it should be in Istanbul. Coliseum in Sarıyer is one of the city’s better answers. The scale helps. Spread across 12,000 square meters, the complex has four outdoor pools, six slides, and one wave pool, plus a glass-roofed indoor pool for kids that changes the mood of the whole place on a gray day.

Timing matters here. The outdoor pool runs seasonally and closed for 2026 on August 31, so check ahead before you plan a visit outside the summer months. Turning up to a closed pool is nobody’s idea of a day out.

4. Büyük Kulüp—Caddebostan

Outdoor swimming pool at Büyük Kulüp in Caddebostan, Istanbul

Büyük Kulüp is one of Istanbul’s oldest social clubs. In Caddebostan, it gives members an outdoor pool alongside restaurants, sports facilities, and green space. It’s a members’ place. Locals come back summer after summer, as much for the atmosphere as for the water, and the whole setup feels closer to a classic city club than to a tourist attraction.

5. Nossa Costa—Ataköy

Seawater pool with a Bosphorus view at Nossa Costa in Ataköy, Istanbul

Nossa Costa breaks from the usual pool setup. It sits out over the sea itself, with a 360-degree view and a pool filled with seawater.

The holiday feeling is the point. Prices reflect that: according to Nossa Costa’s pool page, entry runs ₺1,500 (approx. $43) on weekdays and ₺2,000 (approx. $57) on weekends, with food and drinks not included. The pool is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the summer season.

6. Shelale Hotel Outdoor Pool—Ağva

Riverside outdoor pool at Shelale Hotel in Ağva, near Istanbul

Ağva is worth the drive. It sits far enough from the center to feel like a real escape but close enough to get home the same evening, and Shelale Hotel’s pool on the Göksu River is a solid reason to make the trip. The river does the work. An open buffet breakfast and a small sports complex make it a full day away from the city.

7. Holiday Inn Istanbul Airport Indoor Pool—Bağcılar

Indoor swimming pool at Holiday Inn Istanbul Airport in Bağcılar

Istanbul has options for swimmers who don’t want to stop at summer’s end, and the indoor pool at Holiday Inn Istanbul Airport, out in Bağcılar, is one of the more reliable year-round picks. A Mandala Spa sits alongside it. That means a swim can turn into a full afternoon of doing nothing in particular. Sometimes that’s exactly the point.

8. The Marmara Pera Outdoor Pool—Beyoğlu

Rooftop pool with a city view at The Marmara Pera hotel in Beyoğlu, Istanbul

On the European side, The Marmara Pera’s rooftop pool is reported to open to guests from early morning to early evening. The draw? Not the water. It’s the view: an unobstructed stretch of Istanbul rooftops from a terrace in the middle of Beyoğlu.

9. Aqua Dolphin Park—Esenkent

Water slides and wave pool at Aqua Dolphin Park in Esenkent, Istanbul

Large, well-run water parks are genuinely scarce in Istanbul, which keeps demand high for the ones with a track record.

Aqua Dolphin Park has one. Formerly branded Aqua Club Dolphin, it has operated in Esenkent since 2001 and reopens each year for the summer season, typically in early May. Getting there is easy. Free shuttle service runs from several points in the city, and slides named Rocket, King Cobra, and Anaconda keep the bigger kids occupied alongside the main wave pool.

10. Şile Resort Hotel Pool

Outdoor pool complex at Şile Resort Hotel near Istanbul

Want out of the city entirely? For visitors on the Asian side, Şile is the usual first stop. Şile Resort Hotel’s pool complex is built for a full day there. Outdoor and indoor pools, a sauna, a billiards room, and a private beach are all on site, and an outdoor pool deck measuring around 1,100 meters keeps crowds from feeling close on all but the busiest days.

11. Hyatt Regency Istanbul Outdoor Pool—Taksim

Outdoor pool surrounded by greenery at the Hyatt Regency Istanbul in Taksim

For travelers who’d rather have a pool than a water park, the Hyatt Regency Istanbul sits in the middle of the city with a surprising amount of greenery around its outdoor pool. It’s open seasonally, June through September. Food comes from the Gazebo Poolside Café & Bar, which serves the chef’s summer specials throughout the day. And the diving platforms? They range from 1.5 to 20 meters, depending on how much nerve you have.

12. Wyndham Grand Istanbul Kalamış Marina Hotel—Fenerbahçe

Rooftop infinity pool overlooking Kalamış Marina at the Wyndham Grand Istanbul, Fenerbahçe

This is one of the more polished pool setups in the city. Quiet, upscale, no slides. A rooftop infinity pool looks out over Kalamış Marina, with separate indoor and outdoor pools below, and the whole place suits travelers after a calmer version of a pool day rather than a crowd-and-slides water park. Families chasing slides will do better at Marina Aquapark or Aqua Dolphin Park; anyone who mostly wants a view and some quiet is better served here, at The Marmara Pera, or out over the water at Nossa Costa.
